Award for Nonprofits Making a Difference for Youth
August 25, 2009
GreatNonprofits recently announced its 2009 GreatNonprofits Youth Thrive Awards, which will recognize top-rated youth-focused nonprofits.
Clients, donors, volunteers and board members are encouraged to log on to the site, find the organization they'd like to endorse and write a review of it. All reviews will be automatically visible on both GreatNonprofits.org and GuideStar.org. Organizations also can use the reviews in their marketing efforts.
Throughout August and September, youth-focused nonprofits with the most positive reviews in their category — six geographic categories and three according to budget size — will be featured on GreatNonprofits, a nonprofit Web site where people can post reviews of nonprofit organizations, and on Guidestar, and will receive media coverage.
In addition, everyone who writes a review is eligible to win prizes such as a Birkenstock gift certificate, Cliff Bars and products from Greyston Bakery.
The contest deadline is Sept. 30. Click here for more information.
