1. Be creative and look for alternatives to build 2.0 components into measurable things you already are doing.

2. Do a search for your organization on Google or Technorati. You will find there are a lot of people talking about you, so make sure you’re feeding them the right things to say.

3. Work toward new ways to measure this audience. For example, do a Web survey to see how many members/supporters have a link to your organization on their blog or Web page.

4. Develop and implement a conversion strategy that would drive Web 2.0 users to become registered users on your site, and then eventually donors. Measure this conversion strategy constantly.

5. Encourage organizational collaboration by inviting key program and marketing folks together to lay out a plan.

Hello...We've just launched a web 2.0 video fundraising site and would love some feedback on it. Our site allows nonprofits to upload videos about their organization and have a video webathon event fundraiser. All tools are provided including a blog, goal thermometer, business sponsorship wall, etc. Money is raised through pledges per view of their video, similar to a walk-a-thon, simple donations and business sponsorship. Implementing Web 2.0 strategies is much easier said than done. There are lots of sites out there designed for visitor participation but never take off.

Really consider you potential viewer and what they might want to do on your site.

And make sure you blog about your group's goals and results, then cross-reference your blog on all your Web 2.0 social media profiles with an RSS feed of your blog. Work to build an audience responsive to your fundraising needs and wants.
