More and more organizations are holding special events with participant-managed fundraising — both online and offline. Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the MS Society are some organizations that have relied on this fundraising method.

Add to that list Chicago-based breast cancer support organization Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization, which sent out this mailing for a three-mile Mother’s Day walk in early spring. Aside from the mailing’s main purpose of motivating people to participate in the walk and raise funds for the organization, it does an incredible job showcasing the Y-ME brand — an important objective considering the hundreds, if not thousands of breast cancer organizations, large and small, that exist nationwide — and presenting in the eight panels of this 4-inch-by-9-inch, four-color brochure what it does.

In addition to discussing the ins and outs of the Mother’s Day walk — including a list of the “what, when, where, why” related to the event, a pre-registration form, information on what the money raised goes toward, a pledge form and information on how and when to send in the money raised, a listing of the prizes available for those that reach fundraising goals, and testimonials from past participants — the purple-, pink-and white-branded brochure lists all that Y-ME does, from advocacy to the organization’s wig and prosthesis bank. In addition, the brochure includes the organization’s contact information — phone and Web — on six of its eight panels.

Whether or not recipients choose to participate in the Mother’s Day walk, this event brochure introduces them to Y-ME in a powerful way.

THIS MAILING is available in digital form at the special price of $24.95. To order it, click on the package to be directed to our order form that contains other special offers on Archive mailings.
