DMANF Announces New Advisory Council Members

Kyla Shawyer, senior vice president, response marketing and development for Operation Smile joined the company in 2006. Prior to this role she spent 12 years in the for profit sector using DRTV as the heart of integrated marketing plans to build brand awareness and drive revenue. Shawyer is also one of the founding partners of Journey9, a direct marketing services company that specializes in the use of television for new product development, product launches, and rapid revenue growth. Last year Shawyer was part of the Operation Smile team that garnered DMANF’s 2008 Nonprofit Organization of the Year Award.
Karen Gleason, Mass Market CRM Lead, American Cancer Society

Karen Gleason, mass market crm lead for the American Cancer Society (ACS) is responsible for the strategic direction of all the mass market initiatives. She works closely with 14 divisions in the field, and her department focuses primarily on four areas: acquisition, renewal, notes to neighbors, and learning lab pilots. Prior to joining ACS, Gleason was the group vice president of Customer Relationship Marketing at the Arthritis Foundation where she was responsible for developing and growing constituent relationships through direct, internet, and product marketing.
Ken Dawson, Chief Marketing Officer, InfoCision Management Corporation

Ken Dawson, chief marketing officer for InfoCision Management Corporation has worked with many nonprofit organizations over the course of his career to develop a wide variety of successful residential, family and friends, and other fundraising campaigns. He joined InfoCision in 1997, and is currently responsible for managing and overseeing all five of their marketing divisions. During his tenure, he has developed numerous management tools and strategies that have led to substantial growth and success in volunteer recruitment campaigns.
