5. Bring together peers of influence
Much like in “perfect degrees of separation,” bring together people in various social, personal and business circles, and identify the common values that overlap. Bringing these new people together enhances creativity while providing fresh ideas, new skills and unique resources. With that new expanded network established, ask new people to reach out to their own peers to help build an even bigger set of connections.

“People collectors” have the ability to mentor and guide people they meet whether they are interns, volunteers, staff or constituents. It takes time to teach, touch and polish these diamonds in the rough and recognize talents in others.
“Keep in touch as those gems move on to new endeavors and new directions,” Bocskor advised. “You have developed a personal, emotional and business stake in these relationships. It’s about opening the doors for people who have always had them slammed shut.
“Passion-driven leadership provides a framework to empower, encourage and guide the process while simultaneously tapping into the emotional energy and talent of the community,” Bocskor concluded. “It draws on the power of good in individuals as a catalyst to transform concern into action.”
