Girls Scouts of the USA Works to Standardize Councils With Sage Financial Management System
July 1, 2010“For our councils, standardizing on hosted versions of business applications, like Sage MIP Fund Accounting, means flexibility and security, shared costs, and no maintenance,” said Margie Wang, vice president of finance and technology for Girl Scouts. “Council staff members are able to redirect their energies toward girl- and customer-facing activities, and spend less time on back-office duties.”
So far, nearly 30 Girl Scout councils and the national office are up and running on the hosted Sage MIP Fund Accounting model. “By Oct. 1, we’ll have 40,” said Wang, “and we expect that number to continue to grow a lot over the next few years.”
